Omigosh! We visited the Good Winds on the upper floor of the shops and the food is amazing! MDP1 (my dining partner) had the crab cake sandwich and he said that it was the best that he ever had. The sauce really made the beautiful lump crab sandwich pop with flavor. It wasn't your typical tartar sauce from a jar. It was something entirely amazing that can only be made with skilled hands. No chunky pickles and mayo here. MDP2 had the veggie wrap and it was the perfect blend of fresh veggies and goat cheese. I had the shrimp po boy wrap and let me tell you, nothing that I've had comes close. Plump shrimp lightly battered with fresh veggies and that perfect horseradish sauce. The kids thought that the fries were the bees knees. Yes, even the fries are something special! You really must make it a stop if you are ever anywhere in the Outer Banks. It's worth the drive even from the upper beaches. Plus there's so much to do and see there. The view is amazing and the staff is courteous and skilled. Way to go, Good Winds! Way to go, Chef Joel!
